Here are a variety of storage unit sizes or storage lockers and what you may be able to fit in each:
Extra Small Storage Units or Storage Lockers:
We have a variety of extra small storage sizes aka storage lockers for your convenience. Sizes vary from 2.5x5, 3x3 to 4x5. In these storage lockers, you can store books, seasonal decor, paperwork/files, luggage, small appliances like toasters, blenders, microwaves, or sports equipment (baseball bats, balls, tennis rackets, etc).
Personal Mini Storage or Small Storage Units:
Small storage units vary in size form 5x5 (most popular), 5x7, 5x8, 5x10, 6x6, 7.5 x10, etc. In small storage units, you can store anything you can store in a walk-in closet or a small extra room. You can store everything in an extra small unit and Christmas decorations like artificial Christmas trees, that Peloton bike you no longer use, rowing machine, small furniture like end tables, lamps, futons, bikes, larger sporting equipment like snowboards, skis, surfboards, wakeboards, and more!
Medium-Sized Storage Units:
The most popular storage size is 10x10, but sizes range from 8x10 to 8x8 to 10x15 storage units. In 10x10s or 10x15s, you can fit most of what would fit in an apartment or small 2-bedroom home. A 10x10 unit is about the same size as a one-car garage. You can store big screen TVs, couches, beds, mattresses, dining room furniture, lamps, musical instruments, band equipment, speakers, kitchen appliances, dishes, books, washing machine, dryer, bikes, sports equipment, and most of everything you can store in the smaller unit sizes.
Large Storage Units:
The typical size in this category is 10x20, but other sizes are 9x27 and 10x25, any variation of a size up to 30. In large storage units, like 10x20, you can fit all appliances, furniture, electronics, sports equipment like canoes or kayaks, surfboards, snowboards, wakeboards, paddleboards, small boats or jet skis, a car, and about 300 boxes of a medium-size.
Extra Large Units:
You can fit EVERYTHING you need in an extra large storage unit. You can store everything found in a 3-bedroom home or a truck, motorcycle, car, boating equipment, water toys, beds, couches, desks, appliances, patio furniture, vacation rental furniture, off season sports or camping equipment, basically anything you want!
