I haven't had my rental space at Turk Street StoragePro for an entire 6 months, but I recommend Turk Street StoragePro to anyone who, like me, is moving into the city. I think Turk Street StoragePro has a no frills approach that simply makes the original purpose for the transaction stand out. If you are moving into the city, you could be leaving behind a place where sales transactions are carefully adjusted to your likes and dislikes. But asking for transaction conditions to be unique to one customer over other similar purchasers is something that asks to be 'fussed' about in a big city. Turk Street StoragePro undeniably sets itself apart from this kind of confusing treatment. It arranges each customers accessibility to, and management of, her or his own storage for the same access.
I think that is the reason that it is always a quiet, reliable and efficiently completed task whenever I have to access my storage rental. I note that from the time that I have had a rental the main elavator was out of service for repair on two occasions (months apart) for part of a day. However, my visits on those days were uneventful. I utilized their other elavator when I had articles to move, and chose to take the steps the day I had no artices to move.

I moved to San Francisco at the beginning of April 2016. I had to get a storage closet at Fort Knox storage facility on Turk Street in the Tenderloin. This was a good decision on my part. The place is clean. The people that run it are fantastic very nice.

Fort Knox self Storage is a really clean & secure place to store your things so you don't have to worry about them. The staff is very professional. I would highly recommend Fort. Knox self storage to anyone needing a place to store stuff.

I signed up about three months ago I got a mailbox and a clean storage unit.. The manager that signed me up name is Jazz, she was so helpful just what I needed at the time.I was already stressed out but she made me feel so much better..she got me a really good price and witch put a huge smile on my face.. I'm mean really good and she was beyond helpful...she even kept her word on giving me a call back and sending me over some more information because of my disability.She made me feel super secure about my belongings and always there to help me out when I need her.I also get my mail here, never ever had a issue when she is at the office.I only come when she is there...sorrynotsorry..
She is very nice and has a great smile. They have a janitor that keeps it beyond spotless and always looks out for me as well..Thanks fort Knox for the big help.

Five stars for the mail service I have received the people who work there have been many and so getting to know them has been somewhat difficult ever since Malcolm left .... I am happy despite this that you have continued your post office box service it has been a secure way for me to receive my mail. Thank you. I also want to add that Mason was one of the best if not the best customer service guy you ever had there he surely made a difference

The manager had a great heart, energetic and spoke outstanding. He helped me with any questions and kept a smile and also had me laugh a few times. Its nice to know i'll be having a manager like him at my service at this site. Thank you to jeremy cool guy. It also was totally spotless inside my new unit.

Clean with a central location (although in the TL), the only downfall are the hours as it closes early. Nice sized units.

The workers are on top of things. And will give a courtesy reminder call if you miss a payment.
Prices are lower than others in town.
Rather short access hours are a drawback.

Short hours and they will give you a good rate coming in, but will raise it every chance they can. I moved out and back in months later to get my rent down and they just raised it $11 a month again. As stated in previous post, it is clean and well ran.

The staff is always helpful, but I have to give it a low rating because the building is old AF, the location is probably the worst in the city (most people won't feel safe walking around this place,) and frankly given both of those downsides, the rates are just way too high.

Just be careful inside and outside. It's location notorious with drug dealing and their followers. Dare I say the homeless hang around too.

They don't give you enough time to pay off your balance before they sell it off. Also I think that the fact they close letting people in FORTY FIVE MINUTES before closing and CHARGE YOU $25 if youre still in the facilty 15 minutes before closing. Then they let some people nap in their units while getting on my rear- end for being there an hour. Not cool place.

Short hours and they will give you a good rate coming in, but will raise it every chance they can. I moved out and back in months later to get my rent down and they just raised it $11 a month again. As stated in previous post, it is clean and well ran.

Been there 3 years now storing equipment for my business thats not currently being used. Unfortunately I cant use it as I'd like since they open after I'm typically working already and close before I can get there because, yep I'm still working. Be nice if they opened at 8am or stayed open til 7pm. Also beware, if you change your debit card and forget to notify them they will attempt the dead card almost constantly. Their system doesn't have the ability to say hmm... I wonder why this .... Gotta go with 2 stars just due to the hours. Oh and if late, due to the card issue you can't pay online, you must call them or whatever. Very 1974ish

Awesome is all I can say able this well kept and professional place.....Safe, clean and respectable staff provide a secure trusting attitude at all times with on time notifications of payment date as well as up dates...I recommend Fort Knox to anyone that is looking for convenience trust and secured well kept storage space......Fort Knox is a true blessing in plain sight.I love it.

Over all the service is great but this African Woman is lazy and wont help the customers. I tried to pay my bill today, 4-3-2018 and insisted that I gave her the wrong unit number. I took it off the reminder notice that was sent to me. She simply blew me off. I showed her my CA ID but she indicated that she needed to take it. I told her she could take what information on the id she needed. She blew me off again and went back top her computer to play with the internet. Useless human being.

I currently have a storage here,not happy faulty locks I am still unable to access my things I have a credit on my account that which I cannot get a refund,company policy.
As soon as my credit expires I'm going to take my business elsewhere and I suggest that you Look else( Fort Knox)

Staff is very unhelpful and rude hours suck and they close earlier than time posted and extremely expensive for storage in the bay area and they lock the stairs off and only have 1 old elevator which is extremely illegal and should be shut down by county better business beauru and the staff should all be fired immediatly

Staff is often rude and sometimes VIOLENT. I had to fend off a desk thug with pepper spray. Management ignored complaint about it even though the incident was caught on their own video system. The odds of getting your mail are poor, since the office is closed at random times and through most of the day. And when they are closed when the mail comes, they lie and blame the post office. And the "Back at" sign time is NEVER accurate, you can spend a LOT of time hanging around waiting for your mail (that you might not even get). Save yourself the trouble (and possible violence), get a PO box.

The place sucks the staff are rude especially the woman that work in the office I seen her cuss another woman out for no reason at all I was sitting in my car in front of the place I ask the woman was she alright their unprofessional I heard a lot of people try to make a complaint and they ignore there calls the staff and the corporate office need to be fired

I took my lock off my storage unit and told them moving out I have 2 witnesses took out of my locker took what I can carry left what could not carry 1st floor near locked dumpsters little tiny half space average bathroom closest size unit 89 increased rent 106 month. Manager scam bag call my payment is late sue the owner I got lock I bought. And recite. When we get to court. One the employees we can watch video scamming me Veteran who be contacting bbb Asap. Dr

It's in a bad area of the Tenderloin and I also found roaches crawling around but the biggest downfall are the hours. The hours are limited and it closes even earlier than you expect. So if it closes at 4pm, and you get there at 3:30pm, then they will not let you in. You have to be there an hour before it closes to get inside. Sat./Sunday hours are 12-4.
The employees are also rude and selfish too. Not recommended.
